Integration Specialist

Job Brief: We are seeking a highly skilled Integration Specialist who will be responsible for developing interfaces between systems. The responsibility includes writing applications in Java to connect with third party vendor APIs (RestFul mostly), carrying out processing and finally transforming the resulting payload onto a given predefined format and publishing into a bus (Kafka). The responsibility also includes reading data from the bus, carrying out some more processing and consuming other third-party vendor APIs passing along the transformed Payload so that it meets the vendor’s API specification. - Creates and communicates integration development goals and strategies.
- Develops network architectures, asynchronous messaging and rule-based systems.
- Coordinate operations with other developers to guarantee on-time completion of integration.
- Develops strategies and designs for system integrations.
- Perform requirements analysis.
- Documenting and communicating the results of your efforts.
- Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
- Ensures that the organization adheres to best practices in integration procedures.
- Working closely with clients, technicians, and managerial staff.
- Checks and rectifies data configuration & overlapping conflicts.
- Keeps the corporation’s integration architecture’s integrity and seamless operation.
- Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.
- Performing user unit test.
- Analyze and improve existing system integration as well as migration techniques.
- Detects, debugs and counsels on system flaws or architectural problems.
- Helps in the administration of organizational databases or retrieval systems.
- Serving as a liaison between stakeholders and users.
- Troubleshoots consistency and performance issues related to integration and architecture.
- Bachelor’s degree technology related subjects, or related discipline
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a programmer or computer scientist
- Experience in both Agile and Waterfall development life cycles.
- Experience with middleware / bus technologies such as JMS implementations, Kafka and more.
- Proven track record in Java
- Experience with Rest APIs
- Aviation experience is a plus
- Proven experience with Unit test frameworks
- Good stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
- A track record of following through on commitments.
