Speech Language Pathologist: School 65291 The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for evaluating and diagnosing speech language communication or swallowing difficulties. They will be required to develop and implement effective treatment programs provide counseling to patients and their families about testing results and recommended treatment options establish patient understanding and treatment goals and create accurate documentation for all patient visits. In addition they will need to delegate duties maintain communication with staff and outside agencies and refer patients to medical specialists. The ideal candidate should have strong interpersonal and communication skills knowledge of Medicaid Medicare and private insurance plans familiarity with speech and cognitive disorders basic computer literacy the ability to comply with regulatory standards a masters degree in speechlanguage pathology or a related field 13 years of speechlanguage pathology experience an active state SLP license and ASHA certification (preferred). speech,pathology,healthcare
