Job details

This is a new role that is urgently required to enhance the accounts payable process which needs significant improvement. This role is expected to fulfill the following responsibilities: - Manage accounts payable team to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and other financial transactions. - Lead the processing of invoices, verifying accuracy, coding invoices to appropriate accounts, and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. - Manage the payment process, including the scheduling of payments, review of payment requests, and coordination with vendors and internal stakeholders. - Coordinate activities related to the month-end close process, such as accruals, reconciliations, and reporting of accounts payable data. - Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and accounting standards related to accounts payable processes. - identify opportunities for process improvements, implement efficiency enhancements, and streamline accounts payable procedures to optimize accuracy and productivity. - Provide training and support to accounts payable staff, facilitate their professional growth and ensuring the team's capabilities align with organizational needs. - Generate reports and analysis on accounts payable performance metrics, trends, and variances to support decision-making and financial planning processes. - Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations and reconciliations related to accounts payable activities. Skills

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Business or Accounting
  2. Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  4. Excellent communication and leadership skills
  5. High attention to detail and accuracy
  6. Preferably with experience on Contracting or Construction firm
