Position Summary The Regional Logistics Manager will ensure that products, inventory, parts, or people move from one place to another efficiently and cost-effectively. Working to plan, control, and implement the storage and flow of products, materials, information, or services. Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all logistic operations and provide a best practice to ensure optimum efficiency.
- Review delivery and transportation quality and costs, negotiating where possible.
- Identify improvements within the logistics process to remove waste and any unnecessary costs.
- Calculate duties for different products and categories.
- Support logistics process flows and ensure smooth operations.
- Manage all the logistics operations related to new store opening, events and the launch of new markets in GCC.
- Driving process improvements, enhancing work efficiency, cost optimization, and implementing these changes effectively.
- Manage regulatory process, import/export license application/renewal across the GCC.
- Negotiate service agreements and price with the freight forwarders.
- Provide routine and ad hoc KPIs/Reports to management.
- Review and control its effectiveness and efficiency in meeting operational requirements
- Support retail supply chain projects and ad hoc assignments. Ensure the execution with feedback for improving operation efficiency.
- Review and research client needs and develop the best method of approach to fulfill them.
- Oversee the entire process of a shipment, from acquisition to delivery.
- Create department policies and Procedures.
- Train and guide employees on department processes and procedures
- Create department budget!
- Develop performance program to increase team productivity.
