Lay-out Artist

Assesses visual aspects, such astypeface, color, position andformatting.Examines layout proofs for qualityprinting and conformance to layoutspecifications.Prepare templates and die-linesfrom scratch.Develop utility standards andwork methodologies.Develop and presentproduction mock-ups.Must be dedicated,committed, on call, mature and able to handle the requirements ofworking at a start-up engagement.Track andmonitor engineering and designchanges.Requirements:Graduateof Fine Arts, Journalism, Mass Communication, English degree, orits equivalent.Minimum 1 year of workexperience as a lay-out artist.Excellentwritten and verbal communicationskills.Detail-oriented, must have detailed eyeto spot errors.Extensive knowledge of currentevents.Able to prioritize to meet deadlines,multitask projects/tasks, manage expectations anddependencies.Perform well under deadlinepressure.Able to work in a teamenvironment.Solid working knowledge of coresoftware programs: InDesign, Photoshop,Illustrator.Solid computer skills, includingonline editing in both PC and Mac environment. Proficiency in AdobeAcrobat and MS Office.Proactive and Possessesproblem-solving skills; Has initiative to address and solve issuesas related to pagination.
