JOB DESCRIPTION The title Picture EditorLocation Doha, Qatar Hours Full Time Contract Contract SalaryCompetitive Posted date 23/12/21 Closing date 23/02/22 Purpose:Picture Editor is responsible to Assembling all raw footage withcamera shots either recorded or transferred packages to live,oversee the quality of progress and quality control of the projectto the Alaraby TV standards. Main Duties and Responsibilities:• Assembling all raw footage with camera shots eitherrecorded or transferred onto video tape in preparation forinputting the computer • Inputting uncut rushes and sound,and synchronizing and storing them into files on the computer• Digitally cutting the files to put together the sequenceof the film and deciding what is usable • Creating an orassembly edit of the programme / film and determining the exactcutting for the next and final stages • Reordering andtweaking the content to ensure the logical sequencing and smoothrunning of the film/video • Overseeing the quality andprogress of audio and video engineering and editing •Quality control the final product before broadcasting to reflectAlaraby TV policies and approaches. • Reporting on andmonitoring quality assurance of sites. • Meeting the OFCOMstandards. • Understand our technical standards •Understands & meets channels broadcast &audio/video standards • Ability to perform under pressurein a Live news environment Skills: • Experience of workingon a busy picture desk -ideally broadcast but if not, then within abusy media title • Extensive knowledge and experience inAdobe Premiere and/or different editing software •Capacity to communicate with multi lingual staffs. •Creative eye and artistic sensibility • Ability to workunder pressure and achieve targets within deadline • Goodorganisational skill Qualifications &Requirements:
