Role: Azure Cloud Engineer Business Unit: ICT Division: Mannai Microsoft Job Description: Position Overview: Responsible for managing of cloud infrastructure and ensuring its smooth functioning. Expertise in cloud technologies and the ability to collaborate effectively. Manage Azure firewalls, Web Application Firewalls (WAF), and other security solutions to enhance the protection and resilience of the cloud infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Cloud Infrastructure Management: Monitor and manage our Azure cloud infrastructure to ensure its reliability, availability, and performance. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as patching, updates, and configuration changes. Incident and Problem Resolution: Respond to and resolve cloud-related incidents and outages promptly, minimizing downtime and impact on operations. Investigate and troubleshoot complex technical issues related to Azure services. Performance Optimization: Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and optimize Azure resources to achieve optimal application performance. Monitor resource utilization and recommend scaling strategies based on usage trends. Backup and Disaster Recovery: Implement and manage robust backup and disaster recovery solutions to protect critical data and applications. Conduct periodic backup testing and ensure data integrity. Security and Compliance: Work closely with security teams to implement and maintain cloud security best practices, ensuring data protection and compliance with industry standards and regulations. Regularly audit and assess cloud resources for potential vulnerabilities and security risks. Automation and Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline routine operational tasks and reduce manual intervention. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles for consistent and automated deployments. Cost Optimization: Monitor cloud usage and spending, identifying opportunities to optimize costs without compromising performance or security. Recommend cost-effective solutions and assist in budget planning. Collaboration and Documentation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand operational requirements and provide Azure-related expertise. Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation on cloud infrastructure, configurations, and operational procedures. Cloud Governance: Enforce cloud governance policies to ensure adherence to organizational standards and best practices. Assist in defining and implementing cloud governance frameworks. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience as an Azure Cloud Engineer or in a similar cloud role. Azure certifications. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and operations. Experience with monitoring tools and techniques for cloud resource monitoring and performance optimization. Proficiency in automation and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell). Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., ARM templates, Terraform). Understanding of cloud security principles and best practices. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for cloud-related incidents. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement. Location: Qatar APPLY
