Supports human resourcesdepartment by screening, testing, and interviewingapplicants.Prepares payroll by calculatingpay, distributing checks, and maintaining payrollrecords.Provides orientation for new employeesby providing information packets, reviewing company policies,gathering withholding and other payroll information, explainingbenefit programs, and obtaining signatures fordocuments.Maintains human resources recordsfor employees by recording the hiring, transfer, termination,change in job classifications, and merit increase dates as well astracking vacation, sick, and personaltime.Administers employee benefit programincluding student loan, medical insurance, savings bond, anddisability programs by advising employees of eligibility, providingapplication information, helping with form completion, verifyingsubmission, and notifying employees ofapprovals.Documents and tracks human resourcesactions by completing forms, reports, logs, andrecords.Sets up and schedules complicatedmeetings for interviewees, hiring managers, employees, anddepartment heads.
