G2 Risk Solutions- Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Title: Senior Cloud DevOps EngineerShift timings: 8PM to 5AM (Night Shift)- 5 days

Experience: 7+ Years

We are seeking a talented and experienced Sr. Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps methodologies, tools and practices, as well as experience in database administration and automation. The role will involve collaborating with development teams to implement continuous delivery, deployment pipelines, and automated testing, as well as database optimization, monitoring and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement and maintain automated deployment pipelines and continuous delivery workflows for applications and databases.

Collaborate with development teams to ensure that software applications and databases are designed, developed and tested in accordance with DevOps principles and best practices.

Automate routine tasks and processes such as backups, patching, monitoring and maintenance of databases and infrastructure.

Optimize database performance and ensure availability and reliability of databases by implementing effective monitoring, logging and alerting systems.

Collaborate with stakeholders to define database requirements, design and architecture for new applications, and provide database support and guidance for existing applications.

Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure and database configurations, processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

7+ years of experience with DevOps methodologies, tools and practices such as containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and continuous integration and delivery (Jenkins/GitLab).

Strong scripting and deployment skills (e.g., subset of Python, Bash, Perl, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, etc.) and experience with version control systems (Git/SVN).

Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google cloud infrastructure and experience in deploying and managing applications in the cloud.

Experience in database administration and management, including experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL or MongoDB.

Familiarity with security and compliance (PCI, GDPR, SOC2, etc.)

Experience with Cloud monitoring solutions like Datadog, Praeco, Logzio, etc.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a timely and efficient manner.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred/Desired Skills:

Familiarity with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, etc.)

Familiarity with RabbitMQ

Experience with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, DynamoDB, Redis, or Couchbase

Certifications in DevOps (e.g. AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) and/or database administration (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Database Administrator)
