Project Manager – Software Upgrade Our client, a large healthcare facility, are looking for an experienced Project Manager to over-see the upgrade of one of their most important clinical software packages. This will be a 2 year project, and will require a lot of inter-action with internal clinical staff, as well as third party software providers. The Person:
- A third level or equivalent degree in an ICT or Software discipline
- A Certified Project Management qualification e.g. Prince 2 Practitioner/PMP, would be an advantage
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage a range of projects simultaneously, with attention to detail and delivery of results.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent problem solving, decision making and analytical skills with the ability to make sense of complex and logical problems quickly.
- Excellent tracking, coordination and project planning skills and ability to plan and prioritise work while responding flexibly to rapidly changing priorities to ensure projects are completed as scheduled.
- Problem-solving skills
- Excellent writtenand presentation skills
- The ability to work to deadlines
- Proven track record in successful project delivery in a software environment
- Experience of leading hospital ICT projects including project design, business process mapping, budget management, system implementation, planning & scheduling, issue tracking/remediation, risk analysis, would be an advantage
