Catering Assistant

To support campus operations and student facilities Randstad seeks to recruit an experienced Catering Assistant for a Further Education College based in County Antrim. This is a Full time Temporary with scope to become Permanent. Immediate start date available pending Access NI vetting. Onsite parking Enhanced Holidays Employee Assistance Programme Requirements 6-12 months previous experience within a Catering or Hospitality sector essential Basic Food Hygiene certificate Access NI (Paid for) Sufficient numerical skills for till operation Effective communicator Ability to work in a fast paced environment GCSE Maths, English or equivalent qualifications Responsibilities Basic preparation of food and beverages including vegetables and snacks. Using appropriate equipment & kitchen utensils Organisation and control of food service points Recording of temperatures for control purposes Cash register till operation. Assist daily operational procedures checking float and audit roll. Counting cash daily and assisting in preparing the bank lodgements Serving meals and snacks to College Students & Staff Setting out of dining room tables, chairs, benches, cutlery, water jugs General kitchen and dining room duties including washing up & clearing away Cleaning of the kitchen, dining room and equipment including floors and walls Replenish stock levels of vending machines Randstad Business Support acts as an employment business when supplying temporary staff and as an employment agency when introducing candidates for permanent employment with a client.
