Come and join the national clinical team in Summerset in this newly created role – Head of Clinical Delivery This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of older people living in Summerset. As the Head of Clinical Delivery, you will be the heartbeat of the Operations Clinical Team across all villages and care centres at Summerset, New Zealand, leading with empathy, expertise, and a commitment to excellence. You will have the unique opportunity to drive implementation of clinical improvements aligned with the clinical strategy and the delivery of clinical excellence. 

Job Description:

Role Responsibilities: The key focus of the role is to support clinical service delivery, ensuring a nationally consistent standard of high-quality care underpinned by well embedded care and quality systems. You will play a pivotal role in leading a national approach to person-centered care and clinical care delivery. Your focus will be on ensuring person-centred resident care, driving positive clinical outcomes, and aligning services with individual resident goals. Mentoring, leading and developing your team of passionate, skilled healthcare professional and working in strong collaborative partnership with the Head of Clinical Improvement This position involves supporting regional teams, implementing, and monitoring clinical and quality systems, and collaborating with specialists for enhanced service delivery.

Qualifications:

To thrive in our supportive and caring environment you will have:
  • A current NZNC practising certificate (APC) and a minimum of five years’ post graduate experience.
  • A passion for delivering person centred care to deliver on the Summerset vision of Bringing the Best of Life .
  • High degree of clinical expertise and the ability to apply critical thinking skills in the aged residential care setting.
  • Ability to work at a national level and apply concepts and strategies to improve systems and processes to the benefit of Summerset residents.
  • A strong passion for continuous quality improvement and application of quality frameworks.
  • A professional nurse leader with a strong commitment to be a positive influence, coach and mentor.
  • In depth understanding of Ngā Paerewa Health and Disability Services Standard (NZS 8134:2021) and appropriate funding contracts.
  • Bi-cultural awareness and the ability to adhere to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi.
  • Experience with InterRAI an advantage
