Area Director I - Steamboat Springs, CO

Steamboat Springs is one of Colorado's gems. This majestic mountain town experiences all four seasons of beautiful outdoor living. Nestled along the northern part of the state with the Rocky Mountains as its backdrop, you won't find a more beautiful place to live and do ministry. This community has rich history with good kids work. For years this ministry has had a strong and consistent presence in both the middle school and high school, as well as Young Life College work at Colorado Mountain College. With a supportive cast of volunteer leaders, community leaders who are committed to the health and growth of ministry and strong financial backing, this town is poised and set up to welcome its next area director. Responsibilities:

• To care well spiritually, mentally and physically for yourself and to provide opportunities and spaces for the same care for others in your Young Life community.
• Building diverse teams to love and walk alongside middle, high school and college-aged students.
• Think creatively to utilize the great outdoor space.
• Develop strong outreach and discipleship opportunities for students with weekly programs along with school season and summer camping.
• Vision cast for the future and surrounding small towns.
• To steward well the resources entrusted to you and your teams.
• Willing to network and collaborate with the community and the local committee.

Qualifications:

• Five years of experience with Young Life.
• Previous area director experience preferred.
• Strong relational and communication skills.
• History in building teams of adults who faithfully live out our missional values and principles.
• Can effectively raise personal support outside of the community.
• Medical, dental and vision coverage (at no cost to you).
