The Company Our client is a global consulting firm working with a global Investment Management Group. We are seeking a Lead Business Analyst to join our client on a large-scale project. This is a 12 months contract with possibility of extension. The Lead Business Analyst will be responsible for managing and ensuring the delivery of the business analyst team as well as take on a BA role for certain areas. This includes analyzing the current state and documenting operational processes for various functional areas within the middle & back office, covering Trade Management, Cash Operations, Fund Operations, Corporate actions, Reconciliations, Derivative & Collateral and Private Assets Operations. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather data, document business processes, develop functional specifications and participate actively in target-state solution exercises. The Role
- Manage team of business analysts to ensure delivery across the team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather data and analyze current state workflows related to Trade Management, Cash Operations, Fund Operations, Corporate actions, Reconciliations, Derivative & Collateral and Private Assets Operations.
- Work with third-party vendors to coordinate due diligence on middle-office operational processes.
- Identify, document, and manage project risks and issues related to due diligence process.
- Develop functional specifications and document business processes for various functional areas.
- Prepare materials for requirements definition documents, including process flows, use cases, and user stories.
- Participate actively in workshops including leading discussions for areas where BA has been involved in documentation.
- Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively.
- Continuously improve processes and methodologies for documenting current state operational workflows.
- Participate actively in development of test scenarios & validating test results.
- Professional qualification in technology and project management are preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of experience working as lead and/or supporting business analysts.
- Experience & familiarity with all the functional aspects of the investments operations of a large asset management company e.g. trade management, corporate actions, derivative life cycle & collateral management, fund order processing, cash processing, reconciliations, portfolio accounting & reporting
- Experience & familiarity with operational aspects of different asset classes e.g., equities, fixed income, time deposits, FX, OTC & ETD, funds, private assets
- Prior experience in implementation of operational areas using Aladdin and/or implementation of outsourcing of asset management processing projects
- Experience in working with test managers on developing operational test scenarios, validation of test results on behalf of operation users
- Experience working with variety of stakeholders to manage documentation of business process / workflows / business requirements.
