Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans for drilling equipment, including rigs, drills, pumps, and ancillary machinery.Coordinate with operations and engineering teams to schedule maintenance activities in alignment with drilling schedules and production targets.Maintain accurate records of drilling equipment inventory, including serial numbers, maintenance history, and warranties.Monitor equipment performance and lifecycle costs to inform decisions regarding repair, replacement, or upgrades.Establish and oversee a preventive maintenance program to proactively identify and address equipment issues before they lead to downtime or failures.Define maintenance schedules, checklists, and procedures to ensure the ongoing reliability and safety of drilling equipment.Lead and supervise maintenance technicians and support staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.Allocate resources effectively to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks and respond to emergent equipment failures.Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and diagnosing root causes of failures.Coordinate with manufacturers, suppliers, and technical support teams to resolve complex technical issues and procure necessary spare parts.Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies in all maintenance activities.Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits of maintenance procedures and equipment installations.Manage inventory levels of spare parts, consumables, and critical components to support maintenance activities and minimize downtime.Establish relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and procure materials in a cost-effective and timely manner.
