The Manager is fully responsible for the assigned gym's leadership, daily operations, acquisition, retention, administration and achieving goals. "fire in the belly" to take on the challenges and obstacles with energy--not dreadHave the Capacity to do it: possess the emotional, intellectual, physical and time capacity to perform the jobLive the brand's Core Values inside and outside of the gymLive the principles outlined in the Company's Leadership Pact> 3 years in functional fitness gym model as a Coach, Sales and/or LeaderComplete and/or maintain any degrees or certifications required to perform the role in the modelComplete and pass the CPP and C101Achieve and maintain > 80% TCR score within 2 survey periods from your start dateWorkout in group classes with athletes 2-3x a weekProficient in Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Slides, etc. and Apple OSProficient in social media apps: Facebook, Instagram and any others necessary for the modelBe comfortable opening up/closing the gym location for the day by yourselfResponsibilities:Leadership & Development:Communicate clear instructions to team membersHelp formulate financial and operational goals for gymInspire individuals and motivate teamwork for achieving the gyms' goalsRecognize and acknowledge the skills of key team members and utilize their strengths to the benefit of the teamListen to team members' feedbackHold direct reports accountable for their assigned activitiesMonitor team members' participation to ensure the training they are being provided is appliedIdentify barriers to success and create solutions for people, systems, processes to achieve the gym's goalsExecute company meeting rhythm to ensure all team members stay informed:Lead 1-on-1 staff evaluationsLead weekly gym level staff meetingsAttend/participate in monthly Company staff meetingsParticipate in quarterly Planning MeetingsMediate disagreements between athletes or team membersSet a behavioral code if necessaryInvolve direct leader as neededNever post images that celebrate or show consumption of alcohol or extreme cheat meals on social mediaNever consume alcohol or cheat meals wearing company apparelAt the Gym:Wear your uniformAvoid profanity -- keep it professionalNo romantic relationships with co-workers or athletes at your gym location (spouses excepted)Administration:Manage the flow of day-to-day operations and client accountsDaily billing of packages, front end offers and non-training itemsMonitor and control expenses within the allotted budgetApprove gym level expenses up to $500Get approval from your direct leader for amounts over $500Ensure that all tracking for acquisition and retention is completed accuratelyCollaborate with the direct supervisor and/or owners to ensure gym location lives up to brand standards on reporting, customer serviceKeep promotional materials and in-store displays aligned with current initiativesOversee point of sale inventory levels and make sure new items are ordered when requiredPerform initial PRIME assessmentsStaff & schedule:Schedule full-time team members, cover coaches and other available personnel to deliver the model successfullySet gym schedule at least 2 weeks in advance (ideally 30 days in advance)Coach classes and sessions as necessaryRetention:Ensure high levels of customers satisfaction through excellent serviceDeal with all issues that arise from athletes (complaints, grievances, inquiries, etc.)Respond as soon as is practical (within 24 hours at the latest)Move confrontations off email/text to phone call or in personPrevent any athlete from having to contact the gym multiple times due to lack of responseListen to athlete feedbackReview NetPromoter Score (currently Listen360 platform) system reports weeklyRespond to negative feedback and update NPS system within 24 hoursOversee delivery and delegation of the systems for the ultimate athlete experienceEnsure gym facility is maintained clean, safe and orderlyKeep gym equipment is kept in good working condition and repaired ASAPKeep commonly used spare parts in stockGive direct leader notice/ask for assistance if longer than 3 business days to resolve or repair any issueAcquisition:Sell any in-person, call-ins or referral leads front end offers and/or long term training packagesAsk for referral(s) in EVERY consult using approved scripts and frameworksWork with Sales & Marketing team members to maximize online video chat sales for your gymFind solutions for athletes to upgrade to the package that is right for them and their goalsImplement/execute all current marketing strategiesTime Off:Minimum of 2 weeks in advance for any requestsCannot take off during same dates as other full-time team members at your gym -- priority given in order of approved requests (must get approval before making any travel plans)Prior to being gone, prep team members with tasks, expectations, happenings, help needed in yourabsenceClasses covered by one or a combination of the following (in order of preference):Trained/Approved Cover CoachA Coach teammate from another company gymCoach at your gym
