The full-time position commences on 1 July 2024.Position: Educational PsychologistThe key role of the Educational Psychologist is to assess, and intervene through counselling support, the students at Lebone II College, within the context of academic, social, and personal development. The Educational Psychologist follows an eco-systemic approach to supporting the Lebone II student which entails collaboration with various role players such as the teacher, the school community, family, the larger community, and external professionals.Minimum Qualification and Skills Required:

A Master's degree in Educational Psychology

The applicant must have undergone a 12 Month Educational Psychology internship following an accredited programme at a

suitable institution

The applicant must be registered as an Educational Psychologist in Independent Practice with the Health Professions

Council of South Africa after successfully having passed the HPCSA Board Exam for Educational Psychologists

The applicant must be registered with a relevant field-specific organisations/associations

SACE registration

A minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience working in a school environment

Compile therapeutic treatment plans for individual and/or groups of students requiring psycho-therapeutic input

Provide psychotherapy/ Counselling support to individuals (including academic staff, and support staff) or groups of students, in line with the treatment goals and objectives that were set

Conduct intake, feedback, and follow-up with parents of students in order to assess concerns, provide recommendations

and monitor progress

Provide feedback in person or by telephone/social media platform or written (brief or comprehensive depending on the case

at hand) to teachers and parents on the outcomes of assessments and progress made in therapy- keeping client confidentiality in mind

Psychometric Assessment and Counselling for subject choice (Grade 9) and careers choice (Grade 11 and 12). This

includes counselling related to students wanting to or needing to change subjects during the FET phase

Perform school admissions assessments for students applying to Lebone II College
