ROCKBlue is seeking a Fundraising Assistant to join our dynamic non-profit organization. The Fundraising Assistant will provide support to ROCKBlue's Fundraising team, working closely with the Development Manager, grant writer and Chief Marketing Officer. This individual will also participate in all fundraising activities, including donor relations and special events. We focus on strengthening the availability of water and saanitation utilities to provide these services to the poorest individuals in cities and towns across the developing world. As Fundraising Assistant, you will directly and indirectly assist ROCKBlue in reaching its mission, impacting the lives of millions of people. Responsibilities

Assist ROCKBlue president in responding to external and internal fundraising enquiries

Prepare donor thank yous for ROCKBlue president's approval and assist in preparing written donor updates. Provide a high standard of donor care in all donor communications

Research potential donors, including foundations and high net worth (HNW) individuals

Coordinate logistics with ROCKBlue Marketing and other departments for activities that support fundraising (e-newsletters, campaign support, web content, social media messaging)

Maintain donor records in Salesforce software and ensure regular contact with them

Support with the organizing of campaigns that will lead to donations

Schedule appointments for ROCKBlue president and others who are supporting the fundraising effort, and maintain calendars while providing support and making sure deadlines are met

Prepare communications, such as memos, emails, reports and other correspondence as requested

Ensure that the Marketing Tracker is up to date and deadlines on the Tracker are met. Capture notes in the tracker in real time during weekly fundraising meetings. Notify ROCKBlue president and others supporting the fundraising effort of upcoming deadlines with sufficient time to prepare materials and meet them.

Collaborate with HR, assist both Fundraising and Marketing in sourcing new team members (paid or volunteer) to meet their divisional needs

Requirements and Qualifications

Certificate or Diploma in Marketing or public relations; or equivalent experience

Prior experience in fundraising, communications, and/or public relations

Enthusiasm and drive for fundraising

Energetic, determined, creative, adaptive and can-do approach

Strong attention to detail and focus on accuracy

Internet research experience and skill

Excellent communications, interpersonal, organization and collaboration skills

Software skills with a preference for Google Workspace, and the ability to learn Salesforce, Trello, Slack and Clockify

Fluency in English (written and spoken)

A stable Internet connection

Time commitment

Approximately 6 hours weekly

Remuneration

Currently, this is a volunteer position.
