As an influential member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will be responsible for providing front-line leadership, guidance and support across all water and waste services activities. More specifically this will include the development and implementation of key strategies and policies aimed at optimizing the effectiveness of the water and waste infrastructure and service delivery to the community. From an internal perspective, a main area of focus will be to continue to build and cultivate a culture of collaboration, positive thinking, and continuous organisational transformation.

Tertiary qualified in Civil Engineering and preferably to Postgraduate level (MBA/Economics), you will have a strong background in Utilities, Local Government or, considerable executive leadership experience with an emphasis on the successful delivery of water and/or waste services or similar. Your strong strategic and operational skills and your natural and inspiring leadership will ensure you can quickly build trust and credibility with a wide range of stakeholders. You will also have the exceptional communication skills needed to meet the challenge of organisational/cultural change and deal effectively with political sensitivities.

Additionally, you will bring your ability to lead and deliver major projects, including large-scale projects such as the Cressbrook Dam Project and the Toowoomba to Warwick Pipeline. Your experience in working with state and federal government regulators and authorities will be highly regarded.
