You will play a key role in the development and implementation of educational programs tailored to meet the diverse developmental, cultural, and additional needs of children in your care, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.In this role you will actively communicate vital information to families regarding their children's needs and developmental progress, offering specialized advice on specific areas of concern as requested or required by parents. Taking on the role of the Responsible Person within the service, you will assume responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the centre when necessary.This is a wonderful opportunity to join Georges River Council within our Community and Culture Directorate. Top of Form The successful candidate will have Diploma in Children's Services or equivalent. (For the purposes of the Education and Care Services National Law, and published in accordance with regulation 137(1)(a) of the Education and Care Services National Regulations)A thorough understanding of the NQS, National Laws and Regulations, EYLF and the ability to develop, document and implement an educational program for children Current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management Certificates with at least 6 months until expiry or willingness upgrade as required Approved current Working with Children Check with at least 6 months until expiry or willingness upgrade as required NSW Department of Education and Communities approved Child Protection Training CertificateAbility to build relationships with children, families, staff, volunteers and the community Ability to collaborate with your team with effective role-modelling and mentoring skills as appropriate Understanding of Work Health and Safety requirementsThe availability to work rotating shifts within operational hours The availability to attend out of hours staff meetings and professional development requirements Desirable Previous experience working with children 0-5 years of age, in an early learning setting Please Note To be considered for this role, all selection criteria must be addressed in the applicationPlease ensure that all required certificates are uploaded and current About Georges River Council's Early Learning ServicesGeorges River Council operates six strategically located Early Learning Services, caring for about 400 children in areas like Beverley Hills, Carss Park, and Kogarah.
