You'll also have plenty of time to spend with your family and on your health, as this company strongly encourages work-life balance, flexible working hours and remote working (2 days a week from home).Your New Role:Reporting to the Global CTO and based out of their head office in Sydney CBD, you'll be in a newly created, highly visible, business impact role working within a global platforms team that serves the development and business leadership teams (CEO's included) around the globe. You'll be future focused and a visionary and the key focus of your role will be stakeholder engagement, "innovation with governance" and a focus on business value. It will be broad in nature across enterprise architecture, solution architecture and platform architecture. You'll help the company drive their NextGen platform journey. Joining in a standalone role, you'll be tasked with setting up the strategy and architecture function (governance, standards, benefits) with a global mindset focus. You'll build the strategy and then align an architecture roadmap for the future state. Working with your colleagues, you'll help to address a key challenge of building the most scalable and innovative global line of business products (technology) to enable horizonal and vertical growth across the business. The goal is to create a platform that optimises, simplifies and expedites product development across the product teams.You'll leverage your proven strategy and architecture experience to help define and execute on the company's global platform. You'll consult with business unit CEO's to understand current limitations and needs; review emerging technologies, patterns and practices to identify opportunities; and delivery a transformation strategy for the global platform team execute with architecture, change management and benefits realisation.This role could suit a Solution Architect looking to step up or an experienced Strategy & Architecture Lead looking for an exciting new challenge where they can be hands on and grow a function.Skills & ExperienceWithin the context of the role described above, the ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key experience/capabilities: 5+ years' relevant experience as a similar Architect or Strategy/Architecture Lead role, ideally within a similar sized technology or product based business. All industries are encouraged to apply;Experience working on a similar global scale up journey would be looked upon favourably;Proven experience building a strategy and then aligning architecture;Demonstrated experience in identifying, researching, evaluating and recommending new and emerging technologies;Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills;Strong experience working with and influencing senior level stakeholders;A growth mindset with a collaborative style and a strong willingness to learn and grow in your career; andAbove all else, you will have a humble, kind, friendly and trustworthy personality, with an excellent attitude and approach to work.
