Senior Chemist

Come and join our Client at the forefront of the poultry industry.A unique position has opened for a Senior Chemist to lead a small team of technical staff within the Chemistry department. This position offers you the opportunity to make a difference and utilise your technical expertise and experience with an esteemed employer.Permanent, Full-time positionMonday to Friday 38 hours p/wCamden location (Facilities will relocate to Marsden Park mid year)Lead a team of 2-3 technical staff Responsibilities Undertake and plan analysis workflow, from sample preparation to reporting. Maintain NATA accreditation, as well as pursue accreditation for new tests. Expand testing scope of the Chemistry Department. Operate and maintain instruments (HPLC/GCMS etc.) Ability to assess analytical data, based on QC limits. Write and review laboratory documentation Maintaining sufficient consumables and ordering stock in Chemistry lab, such as standards, chemical reagents and glassware. The successful Candidate will have Experienced chemist in animal feed and/or food testing by both manual and instrumental methods. Knowledge of QA/QC requirements within a NATA accredited laboratory. Experience in method development, including validation and verification. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Water testing experience is advantageous.
