We are hiring for a Repairs Manager with good experience in Heavy Machinery and Services to work out of our Welshpool or Henderson offices with some local travel.

Job scope: FLS (FLSmidth) APAC is going through an exciting period of significant growth as a result are looking for a manager for the newly formed Repairs group within Professional Services, responsible for the overall performance and management of the repairs offering. You will work with planning and operations managers in several workshops in the APAC region to complete customer repair works on time and within budget.

In this new position within FLS the Repair Manager will manage and coordinate the repair department based on the East and West coast of Australia in several large workshops. This will be responsible for ensuring that the repairs project is executed on time, on spec, on cost whilst managing the relationship with key internal and external stakeholders.

How will you help us achieve this: You will be the owner of the end-to-end Repairs offering for the APAC area - initially concentrating on the Australian market area.Responsibility to define, build and implement overall Repairs Strategy including Service Exchange products. Define the market area potential in relation to the installed base and map workshop performance versus market potential.Customer Engagement- Business DevelopmentStakeholder engagement, bring the supporting Departments together creating an aligned, collaborative effort.Responsible for meeting KPI's in relation to time to quote and DIFOT.Manages and leads the technical repairs team which consists of Repairs Coordinators and Repairables Specialists.Support the Head of Professional Service in matters related to the customer.Acts as the deputy to the Head of PS and stand in when required.Promotes a culture of personal and team safety, including others who may be affected by the company's operational activities. What you bring: A commitment to Safety and fostering an inclusive work environment.Be a Mining professional with a strong background in either engineering, metallurgy, plant operations, or services to the mining industry in the fixed plant arena.A proven track record managing the repairs of large industrial mining equipment.Solid sales/business development experience within the region.A good understanding of mining operations and the criticality of plant availability and planned maintenance.Experience in working with customers to align the provision of FLS plant and equipment, through optimization and digitization, to give superior recoveries and outcomes.Exposure or knowledge of mining or mineral processing is desirableFinancial acumen and cost consciousness with a demonstrated history of cost-effective practices.Excellent commercial knowledge, communication, and high-level negotiation and influencing skills (externally and internally) while maintaining an exceptional customer service attitude.The ability to analyze the regional mining footprint and understand geopolitical and market forces, coupled with superior business intellect to allow analysis of historic data, our customer operations, and demands, ensuring we are maximizing the FLS segment.Ability to deliver in a fast-paced, changing environment while maintaining high attention to detail. Logical thinking, quick creative problem-solving, and good decision-making skills with an emphasis on diversity and inclusion.
