ABOUT THE ROLE:Summary of the role: We are currently seeking a friendly, customer focussed Admin Officer to join our Patient Services Team in the combined roles of Cashier and Main Reception at Mercy Hospital for Women located in Heidelberg, Vic. You will be working in a customer centric environment with a friendly and supportive team. Part Time Fixed Term - 31 May to 23 October 2024 (training to commence from 6 May)6 shifts per fortnight: Main Reception - 3 shifts per fortnight Friday, Saturday & Sunday 1500-2100: Engage with patients, visitors and colleagues in a friendly and approachable mannerCalling Emergency Codes / Paging DoctorsAnswering / transferring callsAttending to daily incoming / outgoing mailGeneral admin tasks supporting Patient Services. Cashiers Office - 3 shifts per fortnight Mon, Tuesday & Wednesday, 0830-1700: Responsible for the timely and accurate receipting, reconciliation and allocation of monies received across multiple systems with professionalism and accuracyDistribute student and parent swipe access cardsAcute Care CertificatesEstablish patient payment plansPetty Cash / BankingContacting patients and taking payment for excesses, bed fees, co-payments To provide support to other team members and actively participate in key activities of Mercy Hospital for WomenProvide a high level of customer service ABOUT YOU: Excellent communication skills with clear articulation and attention to detailExceptional customer service and interpersonal skillsPrevious administration experience in the health industry desirableWorking knowledge of iPM desirableDemonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and individuallyAbility to maintain confidentiality, uphold patient and staff privacy, and operate with a high level of integrity and professionalismReliable, flexible and display a positive manner to change ABOUT US:Mercy Hospital for Women is a fully accredited Level 6 Public Specialist Teaching Hospital providing both public and private patient care through maternity services, neonatology and paediatrics, perioperative services, gynaecology, women's health and associated health, support and diagnostic services.
