About the Role As Fraud and Scam Operations Analyst your primary purpose is to minimise the Bank's non-lending losses whilst reducing the Bank's exposure to fraud and Scams by providing a professional monitoring, detection, prevention, and recovery service for the BOQ Group through alert review and investigation including complex matters.Key Responsibilities: Monitor the Bank's fraud detection systems to identify and investigate potential fraudEnsure fraud loss is minimised, or prevented where possible, by taking prompt and appropriate action, as determined by the individual caseIdentify the perpetrator or the party responsibility for the loss and implement the most appropriate course of action for the recovery of fraud and Scam lossesLiaise with customers, addressing all issues, with the view of protecting the Bank's interests and meeting the customer's needsKeep customers informed of progress throughout each case.Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and timely records of all activities in line with Bank and regulatory expectationsProvide accurate metrics as required for management and external reportingCollating Investigations including reports or written responses etc in an accurate and timely manner, ensuring appropriate stakeholders have been consulted where requiredMaintaining files, ensuring accurate and current records kept at all timesPerforming data entry to assist with the bank's financial crimes prevention initiatives. About you To be successful in this role you will demonstrate the following skills and experience: Experience as a Branch teller or in a similar Banking Operations role.Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and achieve objectivesUnderstanding of the banking codes of practice and other relevant legislation including AML/CTF Act, Privacy Act and Criminal CodeSound knowledge of bank products, processes and procedures, including both front and back officer operationsWell developed communication and interpersonal skillsProblem solving skills and the apply sound judgementAbility to contribute as a team member and work collaboratively with othersAbility to work autonomouslyAbility to liaise with and forge strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholdersAnalytical skills and attention to detailReport writing skills While not mandatory, any training in Digital Fraud or Investigations would be highly regarded. Additionally, any study in the criminology or cybercrime would also be advantageous.
