About the role: Our South Australian business is thriving, and as such we are on the lookout for a motivated and team focussed Mechanical fitter (auto-electrician / diesel mechanic) to join our high performing team This role will operate, DIDO or FIFO from Adelaide to Whyalla . As a mechanical fitter at Orica, you will provide technical support and maintenance to all of Orica's fixed plant and mobile plant on Site. What you will be doing: General servicing of all mobile and fixed plant and machinery;• Schedule servicing, repairs, alterations and breakdown maintenance.• Assist the Territory and Site Managers to manage a maintenance plan for the equipment at their site(s);• Continually reassess risks associated with regional operation and maintenance processes taking appropriate corrective action as required;• Providing field support for clients by performing training, reviews and maintenance support on site;• Participate in safety programs and promote safe work practice. What you will bring: • Trade certification in Heavy Road Transport or equivalent.• Auto electrical knowledge is advantageous.• Strong written and verbal communication, customer relation and problem-solving skills;• Ability to attain a Heavy rigid (HR) vehicle license• Previous experience working on heavy vehicles (advantageous); What we offer: As part of a truly global company, you will have the ability to grow and learn in a diverse, collaborative culture.
