Executive Support Officer, Environment And Science

As the Executive Support Officer, you will: Provide executive support to the Executive Director including managing the appointment diary and coordinating appointment papers and coordinating travel arrangements.Maintain and coordinate the Executive Director's document/correspondence flow, including entry of correspondence to the MECs system (Ministerial and Executive Correspondence System) and initiate follow-up action.Provide research, quality assurance and support for the preparation of briefing notes and reports as required by the Executive Director.Liaise with officers of the senior management team, to seek information at the Executive Director's request.Manage in-coming requests, action where appropriate, and redirect as requiredLiaise with departmental officers at all levels to seek information at the Executive Director's request.Manage and contribute to special projects to support the strategic directions and priorities of Science Delivery including assisting with the co-ordination of project plans.Support the coordination of CBI contributions to Divisional strategic and operational planning and performance reporting processes.Maintain awareness of current departmental standards and procedures for the area of responsibility and ensure that any changes are implemented within the business groups.Structure written and oral communication to focus on the key points and ensure clarity.Foster a workplace culture that supports and promotes the interests of First Nations people and actively engage through our work to contribute to better outcomes for First Nations people.
