They would play a critical role in overseeing the structural design aspects of HV Substation & Transmission projects, including the design process, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: Playing a key design management role in the opportunity pursuits, design and delivery phases of HV Substation & Transmission projects Providing specialist technical input including structural design oversight, project planning and coordination to a diverse range of multi-disciplinary projects Conducting design reviews and checks to identify and rectify any potential issues, ensuring high-quality design deliverables Communicating effectively with clients to present design concepts, progress, and recommendations, addressing any concerns and fostering a positive client relationship Providing mentorship and guidance to team members. What you will bring to the team: Degree qualification in Structural Engineering with strong understanding of power industry design principles for substation, transmission line and renewable projects 15+ years' experience (RPEQ, CPEng or equivalent), in delivery of Substation & Transmission projects to applicable ANZ Standards and Guidelines (consulting industry preferred) Proficiency in using specialist design and analysis tools on structure and foundation design . PLS-CADD, MicroStation, AUTOCAD, 12D etc. Experience in design management involving multi-disciplinary teams with strong communication and client relationship management skills The ability to mentor, motivate and guide team members.
