Casual Library Officer (Multiple Positions)

About the role The Council's Arts & Culture Department is looking for casual library officers who will be responsible for proactively promoting, supporting and delivery of the library's range of programs and services.The main responsibilities will include: Handling and resolving general enquiries from customers in a responsive and cooperative manner, follow up and respond as required;Facilitating access to the collection through membership, promotion, circulation and shelving of library materials;Assist customers with the use of computers and other Library technologies; andEnsuring that the library is professionally presented, information displayed is current and collection is maintained to agreed standards This is a casual position and could be rostered to work at any library location, including evenings and weekends. About youAs the successful candidate, you will have: Demonstrated experience in delivering excellent customer service;Flexible and enthusiastic attitude with the resilience to continue to create positive customer experiences during a range of unique circumstances;Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills to contribute to a harmonious and positive work environment;Highly developed skills in the use of current technologies and a passion about assisting the community to explore and use them;Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously as part of a team to deliver outstanding customer services; andAbility to work at short notice in a busy team in a customer facing environment.
