The Role An opportunity has become available for a Clinical Nurse Consultant (Mental Health - Transitional Recovery Service - Capstone Program) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.You will Provide intensive, developmentally appropriate, consumer-centred, mental health interventions and ongoing assessmentsWork collaboratively with clinicians, multi-disciplinary staff, service providers, non-government organisations and MHSS consumer carers and familiesContribute to the development of clinical practice procedures and protocols, for both the discipline and the multi-disciplinary teamSupervise, continuously develop and support staff and students within your specialty area or as delegated About you To be successful in this position you will require: A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalentRegistration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of AustraliaBe credentialed through the College of Mental Health Nurses (or be prepared to work towards a credential in Mental Health Nursing)A Masters or higher qualification within a relevant area is highly desirableDriver LicenceEvidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis BTuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be requiredDeclaration of serious discipline history must be disclosedCriminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost) Benefits Flexible work optionsCareer DevelopmentSalary PackagingModern FacilitiesDiverse Work CultureResearch Opportunities12.75% super17.5% leave loading Salary Permanent part time (38 hrs p.f)Base salary ranging from $66.85 - $72.58 per hour About Us The Transitional Recovery Service is a community based model of service that was developed utilising the skills of both Richmond Fellowship Queensland and the Gold Coast Health Mental Health and Specialist Services.The Capstone Program provides individual recovery support and evidenced based group programs facilitated by GCMHHS clinicians and RFQ Recovery Support Workers (including staff who have a lived experience of mental illness). Individual recovery support will focus on the consumer's goals as identified within the consumer's recovery plan. The Capstone Program will provide a menu of evidence based group activities which will be available to support individual's recovery for a period of up to 3 months.
