What you'll be doing

The Virtual Care Service Development Manager will work within the Virtual Care Service to lead the development of virtual care services and enhance operational and clinical efficiencies in South Western Sydney Local Health District.

The Virtual Care Service Development Manager is responsible for leading and designing virtual care clinical service development, planning and delivery of innovation projects, delivery of change management initiatives and implementation of new virtual clinical pathways.

The Virtual Care Service Development Manager will work closely with all departments within Digital Health, Clinical Streams, Primary and Community Health, Planning Unit and Patient Flow Units. In addition, the role requires strong communication and negotiation skills to engage with broad stakeholders, including clinicians, patients, consumers, NSW Health agencies and vendors.

Where you'll be working

Liverpool Hospital, founded in 1813, is the major health service for south-western Sydney, providing services to the local government area of Liverpool City Council as well as district services to residents and visitors in the area. It also provides a range of state-wide services in areas such as critical care and trauma, neonatal intensive care and brain injury rehabilitation. The Hospital provides a health service of international standing, with 23 operating theatres, capacity for 877 beds, diagnostic and imaging services, emergency and trauma care, maternity, paediatric, cancer care, mental health, ambulatory care, allied health and medical and surgical services from birth to aged care.

Liverpool Hospital is currently undergoing a major redevelopment. The $790 million Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct (LHAP) project will provide enhanced facilities and an increased capacity to meet future significant population growth for South Western Sydney.

Liverpool Hospital is a principal referral and teaching Hospital of the University of NSW and the Western Sydney University and also welcome students from over 20 universities and colleges.

Located in the heart of Liverpool City, the hospital is close to public transport, shopping centres and eateries.

Relevant tertiary qualification in a health management field and/or relevant experience in a health related or health management field.Demonstrated extensive experience in managing and leading complex negotiations between a wide range of key stakeholders and clinical leads at all levels through a collaborative approach.Demonstrated capability in strategic planning including identifying new innovative solutions implementation processes and evaluation requirements.Demonstrated ability to think innovatively and creatively to implement new service delivery methods or models of care, challenging conventional health service delivery.Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder engagement at all levels, including consumers, clinicians, district services, NSW Health entities, and vendors, to drive strategic alignment.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex concepts and ideas across diverse teams and stakeholders, facilitating collaboration and driving change.High level understanding of clinical and operational processes within the healthcare sector and how this impacts operational workflows and patient care delivery.Must possess a valid Australian Drivers Licence (excluding learner driver's licences).
