About the role

We are seeking an experienced Security Architect to join our dynamic Strategy & Consulting (S&C) practice in Victoria. If you want the chance to apply your technical skills and experience in a range of diverse and challenging cross functional engagements this could be the role for you.

Key Responsibilities: Design and develop secure network architectures aligned with industry best practices and relevant regulatory obligations.Assess security vulnerabilities and threats recommending and implementing controls and mitigation strategies. Advise on the selection, deployment, and configuration of firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and other network security tools.Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, standards and other key documents.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including network engineers, system administrators, security and business analysts.Lead and mentor team members. 10th April, 2024 About the company

Key Responsibilities: Design and develop secure network architectures aligned with industry best practices and relevant regulatory obligations.Assess security vulnerabilities and threats recommending and implementing controls and mitigation strategies. Advise on the selection, deployment, and configuration of firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and other network security tools.Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, standards and other key documents.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including network engineers, system administrators, security and business analysts.Lead and mentor team members. Critical Skills: Experience as a Security Architect or similar role.Demonstrated experience in network security architecture development and definition.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Effective communication and collaboration skills as well as the ability produce high quality written work.Strong understanding of network security principles, technologies, and protocols (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, encryption).Experience working with public cloud (AWS, Azure) and related technologies.Experience with security frameworks (e.g. NIST CSF, CIS Controls).Understanding of ISO 27001/27002, ITIL, and COBIT frameworksSound understanding of perimeter security controls such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, network access controls, and network segmentation.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Desirable: Current security clearance or a willingness to obtain a clearance of Baseline or higher.Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, SABSA or equivalent.Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
