International Patient Engagement Senior Manager ANZ page is loaded International Patient Engagement Senior Manager ANZ Apply locations Sydney, Australia time type Full time posted on Posted Yesterday job requisition id REQ-21524 Job Description General/Position Summary The International Patient Engagement Senior Manager is responsible for supporting the company's patient engagement initiatives in Australia and New ZealandAn externally facing role that works cross-functionally with communications, government affairs, market access and medical affairs. This role helps lead the company's ongoing efforts to build and sustain meaningful relationships and collaborate to support the needs of patients.Key Duties & Responsibilities Serves as liaison between the patient community and Vertex; developing relationships with patient advocacy groups to bring value to patients.Builds long-term, sustainable relationships with CF patient groups and the rare disease community. Maintains ongoing two-way dialogue with patient advocacy groups to understand priorities and opportunities for collaboration and support.Ensures timely, appropriate, and approved communication with the patient community about the company and our position on key issues.Supports patient-related projects and represents the voice of the patient community in internal meetings.Engages at patient groups organized events e.g., patient days, meetings.Together with the internal teams, engage patient advocacy groups and advisory boards to gather patient insights to inform decision-making.Required Education Level Bachelor's degreeRequired Experience Typically requires relevant working experience or the equivalent combination of education and experienceRequired Knowledge/Skills Experience in patient advocacy, government affairs, communications, market access or public policyStrong focus on patient well-being and strong understanding of chronic diseaseExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills to exchange difficult information and build alignmentEnglish language skills and or the willingness to update the language skillStrong strategic thinker with ability to formulate, develop and execute on agreed strategiesGood presentation and project management skillsKnowledge of guidelines and policies affecting interactions with patient organizationsAbility to manage complexity and ambiguity in a matrixed environment.Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage initiatives that require collaboration across multiple functional areasProblem-solving skills - looks to actively manage problems and seek resolutions when a problem arises.Ability to influence and interact effectively internally and externally#LI-hybrid
