Great opportunity - Fixed term VPS5 role until 31 March 2025 Lead a range of projects across the emergency management sector VPS5 salary from $106,534 to $128,897 plus superannuation About Emergency Management Victoria EMV leads emergency management in Victoria by working with government, agencies and business to strengthen their capacity to withstand, plan for, respond to and recover from emergencies. EMV is a statutory entity and is part of the Department of Justice & Community Safety (the Department). The Department, through the Secretary, employs EMV staff and provides corporate functions to EMV. EMV is led jointly by the Chief Executive (CE) and the Emergency Management Commissioner (EMC).

About the role The Project Lead will manage the implementation of grant programs for Disaster Risk Reduction, including contracts, reporting and stakeholder engagement. The role will also lead a range of projects across the emergency management sector, communities and EMV for Disaster Risk Reduction.

Some of the key accountabilities include:

Developing, managing and maintaining systems and processes for the finalisation of the National Partnership Agreement (NPA) for Disaster Risk Reduction, including acquittal, evaluation, reporting and communications processes, and review of project outcomes funded through the NPA. Preparing succinct, quality and timely briefings to senior management on the progress of the implementation on the NPA. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with peers across EMV, DEECA, Local councils, regional community groups, and stakeholder organisations such as the Country Fire Authority, Victoria State Emergency Service, Life Saving Victoria, MSAR providers, and other government departments and agencies as appropriate. About you To be successful in this role, you will have:

Significant experience in program management and the management of grants programs, including evaluation, allocation and reporting. Significant experience in project management and stakeholder engagement. An understanding of Victoria's emergency management sector will be well regarded.
