Job Description The Newspaper Sales & Supply Analyst role exists within a project & analysis team and is a key to the on-going optimisation of the newspaper supply chain. You will directly participate in and influence revenue maximisation and cost management processes for Nine's publishing brands. Day to day you will: Supply Order Analysis: analyse and adjust supply orders for optimal results through the publishing calendar especially around seasonal or special events such as holiday periods, sporting matches, breaking news and various promotions. Demand Forecasting: collaborate in forecasting processes to accurately predict newspaper demand, and ensuring product availability & efficiency at all levels throughout the sales network. Vendor Data Management: manage the exchange and processing of data from various retail and distribution partners. Cost Analysis: perform cost-benefit analyses to assess the financial impact of supply chain strategies and tactics. Data Analysis: utilise data analysis tools and software to create reports, dashboards, insights and mapping solutions (GIS) that inform and communicate data-driven decisions. Reporting: create regular reports on supply chain management, key performance indicators (KPIs), and cost-saving/revenue-generating initiatives for management review. Qualifications What we would like to see: Previous experience in supply chain analysis and management, preferably in a publishing or a FMCG industry. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and software Advanced experience/ability using Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with GIS mapping software. Excellent communication skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Qualifications in supply chain management, business analysis, or a related field is ideal but not essential.
