Role responsibilities   Assistant Director-General Internal Security Services is responsible for: •Chief Security Officer responsibilities for the Organisation including implementing Protective Security Framework requirements and delivering security outcomes for Personnel, Physical and Information and Communication Technology/Cyber security.  •Setting the strategic direction for protective security planning and risk management. •Integrating security into the Organisation's risk and business processes. •Leading on continual uplift of organisational security culture. •Overseeing the investigation, response and reporting of security incidents including the sustainment of an insider threat program. •Contributing to divisional and organisational programs including capability uplift, mentoring and leadership requirements. •Building strong external relationships and representing ASIO in relevant National Intelligence Community and international fora. •Actively contributing to and championing ASIO's purpose, key priorities and enablers as reflected in the ASIO Corporate Plan 2022-26. •Demonstrating and promoting ASIO's Leadership Behaviours. Key attributes We invite applications from experienced candidates who can demonstrate the following:  •Demonstrated experience successfully leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver high quality security outcomes in a complex and ever-changing security and geo-political environment. •Exceptional communication skills to drive your team and engage with stakeholders across the Organisation to deliver against ASIO's mission and enterprise-critical outcomes. •Proven ability and core capabilities to prioritise and continuously adapt to deliver results, uplift capability, and adapt and learn new skills in a dynamic, high-pressure and challenging environment. •Proven ability to establish and maintain strategic partnerships across national and international agencies, broader government and the private sector, and make decisions in the best interests of ASIO as a whole. •Appreciation of the legal frameworks relevant to working in government and the National Intelligence Community, including the Protective Security Policy Framework. •Proven experience in the protective security environment is strongly preferred.
