Specialising in the manufacture, distribution and repair of a wide range of mining, industrial, agricultural, road transport and 4WD drivetrains, the business is pursuing the goal of becoming Australia's leading supplier of automative aftermarket parts and services. Employing over 100 staff (many of whom are long-serving and very loyal) across 13 branches nationally, our client services customers operating in some of the world's harshest environments, taking a solution-focused approach to designing, sourcing and supplying components. About the Role: You will sit in the Senior Leadership Team and take ownership of the company's entire supply chain and logistics function, ensuring efficient and effective procurement, inventory management, movement of goods and warehousing. You will directly manage Procurement and Warehouse teams in Brisbane and engage with Branch Managers and staff - effectively your customers - from Townsville to Tasmania and across to Perth. Your brief will include reviewing current processes and systems with a view to optimising performance of the supply chain. You will implement positive change, driving adoption of that change across your teams and delivering greater integration and efficiency as a result. Your mission will also be to provide real leadership, offering the coaching and guidance needed to enable people to achieve their potential while cultivating an environment of positive accountability for performance. About You: You are a proven Supply Chain leader, able to demonstrate: Specific experience in "batch" or "made to order" manufacturing / fabrication environments. A background in leading end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, demand forecasting, inventory management and distribution from product development to the point of sale. Having developed and implemented successful supply chain optimisation, cost reduction and process improvement initiatives. A track record of successfully leading individuals and teams to higher levels of performance. Ideally, experience in privately-owned businesses rather than purely in corporate environments.
