Job type Contract Fixed term   Location   Full job description About the role McCosker Contracting are seeking a HSE Compliance Officer to join our team on a project located in Nhulunbuy, NT . In this position you will be reporting to the Senior HSE Compliance Officer, this position is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day implementation of the McCosker Contracting HSE system, the project works and engaging with site leaders, the business and other key stakeholders to achieve the projects and business goals. Fly in, Fly out Roster - 2 weeks on; 1 week off Meals, accommodation & flights provided Commencement - ASAP The HSE Department is responsible for promoting and building McCosker positive safety culture in operations and project by aligning deliverables and outcomes with McCosker and Client Safety and Quality Systems. This position will: Manage and coordinate HSE programs at the project on a daily basis. Ensure that workplaces conform to organisational and client procedures and safety standards Coordinate, supervise and monitor the project to ensure that HSE key performance indicators are met Report situations at the workplace that could constitute a hazard to any person, environment, or equipment Complete and manage all relevant paperwork Manage and motivate a dedicated workforce to maximise operational objectives to include HSE programs Conduct job observations and safety interactions to improve safety outcomes Interpret legislation, standards and technical specifications relating to HSE Manage and drive safety, quality and environmental initiatives within the workplace Record, process, and store HSE data for ongoing evaluation and identification of solutions to improve the effectiveness Develop and maintain procedures, work instructions and other safety practices and programs to assist in the growth and exceeding standards. To be successful you will have: Minimum 3-5 years proven experience within HSE capacity in the construction field Diploma / Certificate in occupational health and safety Knowledge of the Civil Construction Industry Expertise in communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety Current and valid driver licence Construction Induction - Blue/ White Card Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear documentation and reports Proficient in Microsoft Office including MS Word, Excel and MS Project Experience in construction administrative processes and procedures About McCoskers McCosker are experts in the civil construction industry offering a diverse range of services to the mining, construction, building, gas and industrial sectors.
