The opportunity Reporting to the Clinical Lead - Psychological Services, this part-time position, 4 days a week  will be responsible for providing veterans and family members with individual therapy sessions and liaising with relevant internal and external service providers to help support the health of clients. Based within the brand new RSL Queensland Veteran & Family Wellbeing Centre located in Stafford , this role will see you working from newly renovated consultation rooms, with a rehabilitation gym, a kitchen and a veterans' lounge also within the centre. You will work with a progressive and motivated team in a supportive environment to fulfill responsibilities including: Delivering mental health and wellbeing support and clinical therapy sessions to veterans and family members utilising billable opportunities where possible in line with DVA, Medicare and other funding streams. Contributing to the development of Mates4Mates clinically therapeutic group programs for veterans and their families. Helping to support the veteran community with the psychological impacts of service, providing mental health care and liaising with relevant service providers for the benefit of the client's long-term health and wellbeing. Helping develop the mental health service stream in the local area, by establishing and maintaining key working relationships with referrers and other external stakeholders. About you We are seeking someone who is passionate about providing support for a range of psychological concerns, many of which are directly related to the mental impacts of service. Holding relevant tertiary qualifications for psychology as well as full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), the successful applicant will have strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with both clients and coworkers, and well-developed oral and written communication skills to benefit client support and management. Candidates with the following skills and experience are encouraged to apply: Experience in the treatment and management of mental health concerns including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety and depression. A demonstrated ability to develop and implement client treatment plans. Developed computer proficiency, including a demonstrated ability to use client information management systems for accountability and proficient clinical report creation. Possesses a driver's license and Ochre card (or eligibility to apply) The ability to work and communicate professionally and respectfully within a multidisciplinary team. While not a requirement, direct experience in delivering services to current or ex-serving Defence personnel and their families is also advantageous for this role.
