We are growing our AWS Consulting Team in Sydney and we are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer.Â
About the role As a Senior System Engineer you will be responsible for establishing systems maintenance, support and best practices for our clients solutions and ongoing management.Â
Your main responsibilities will be: Perform infrastructure, security, continuous integration and continuous delivery; Provide Pre-Sales support and Consulting services to clients; Design, deploy and maintain solutions for Cloud Migrations, Virtualisation, Networking, Servers, Storage and Backups; Lead core capabilities which involve researching, analyzing and evaluating infrastructure needs following company and clients requirements; Manage and monitoring network traffic and systems usage/capacity based on Cloud computing; Prepare documentation detailing procedures and instructions for maintenance; recording diagnosis and resolution of networks issues, improvements and modifications; Collaborate with key stakeholders including System Administrators, Developers, Testers, Architects and Business Analysts; Align and promote DNX culture by providing support, mentoring and coaching to other consultants Analyzing, developing, interpreting and evaluating complex system design and architecture specifications, data models and diagrams in the development, configuration and integration of computer systems Researching, analyzing, evaluating and monitoring network infrastructure to ensure networks are configured to operate at optimal performance Assessing and recommending improvements to network operations and integrated hardware, software, communications and operating systems Providing specialist skills in supporting and troubleshooting network problems and emergencies Installing, configuring, testing, maintaining and administering new and upgraded networks, software database applications, servers and workstations Providing network programming in support of specific business needs and requirements Preparing and maintaining procedures and documentation for network inventory, and recording diagnosis and resolution of network faults, enhancements and modifications to networks, and maintenance instructions Monitoring network traffic, and activity, capacity and usage to ensure continued integrity and optimal network performance About you We have a number of client projects that need DevOps resources at the moment to work on a wide range of projects. We are looking for a high profile consultant with the following tech competencies/knowledge:
o Desired 2+ AWS certifications
o Know how to operate and expand AWS architectures
o AWS Organizations, IAM, Ec2, Containers, ECS, AWS CLI
o Security concepts on the cloud
o Infrastructure as code with Terraform
o CICD Pipelines with Gitlab and Bitbucket Pipeline
Desired Ops Background o Storage
o Firewall
o Server Management (Linux and Windows)
o Active Directory
o Networking
5+ years of experience as a systems engineer or similar role. Completed or undertaking technical education from an accredited course of study in Information Technology/Computer Science (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. Remuneration The salary for the position will be around 90.000 and 120.000 per annum
