YMCA Vic Early Learning Centres (ELC's) are safe, supportive spaces offering high quality early learning education and care for children aged six weeks to five years old.

About the role The Early Years Assistant Manager (know internally as Early Years Director) is the key educational leader at the centre, and 2IC to the Centre Manager. In this hands-on role, you will be on the floor in a direct service role with dedicated time for planning and programming, as well as assisting the Centre Manager to lead and support the Educators, children and families in Tarneit Early Learning Centre.

As a motivated and customer focused leader, your role will involve:

Working in consultation with Team Leaders and Educators regarding all aspects of program planning Promoting a positive organisational culture and building a professional learning community Leading the development of the curriculum and ensure the establishment of clear goals and expectations for teaching and learning Planning and developing short and long term goals to strengthen the operations of the Centre The newly appointed Educational Leader will be provided with ongoing professional development training specifically designed for Educational Leaders. This will also be facilitated with 8 hours of non-contact time per week to specifically carry out the Educational Leader role.

This is a full time role with an above award rate of $40.78 per hour.

About you You will be a passionate Educational Leader committed to delivering a superior service for children, their parents and educators. You will:

Possess the ability to positively network and build effective working relationships with all stakeholders Be able to inform and imbed learning and development theories and curriculum approaches Have the ability to motivate and inspire the team to achieve set goals and outcomes Possess excellent organisational and time management skills, including the ability to delegate, prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Qualifications and Licences Diploma Qualification in Early Childhood Education & Care or equivalent via ACECQA Minimum 5 years experience in the ECEC sector First Aid and CPR certification Anaphylaxis and Asthma certification At the Y, we are committed to empowering all Children and Young People to feel safe and be safe.
