Senior Pipeline Engineer Wood has an immediate requirement for a Senior Pipeline Engineer to join our team based in Perth, Western Australia working on clean energy projects. The team specialises in both onshore and subsea engineering and provides engineering consultant services across multiple projects and employs technical expertise in all areas of project development. In order to reach the Net Zero goals, implementation of pipelines servicing in Hydrogen and Carbon Dioxide is essential, and the Wood team has been at the forefront of the development of these projects. This team will also support projects for conventional energy, water and utilities.

Our successful candidate will join a team focused on delivering solutions for our client's new energy pipeline design projects including Carbon Dioxide, Hydrogen and Ammonia in APAC and globally. Provide pipeline engineering expertise to support ongoing and new project work. Lead and take technical responsibility for pipeline design on nominated projects. Undertake onshore and offshore pipeline routing and perform pipeline design calculations using Wood and Client design methods, standards and data, to a high quality and in accordance with project requirements. Take responsibility for the development of other pipeline documentation including Design Basis, Detailed Engineering Calculations & Reports, Stress Analysis, Engineering Specifications, Data sheets etc.

In-depth knowledge of offshore and onshore pipeline design codes. Knowledge and experience in hydrogen and carbon dioxide pipeline design codes desirable. Ensure that Wood and Client's Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality Management procedures are complied with. Provide assistance to other disciplines and participate in review meetings, in accordance with project requirements. Ensure that work is completed within schedule and agreed budgets. Support internal development and continuous improvement activities as required by joining Woods research and development Hydrogen and Carbon Dioxide Task Forces.

Expected: Engineering degree qualified in Civil / Mechanical (ideally with First Class Honours) and Charted status preferred 5 - 8 years experience in pipeline engineering Familiar with Codes / Standards related to Pipeline engineering and CO2/H2 pipelines preferred Strong client consultancy experience and effective communication skills Ability to work in multi-discipline engineering team for Conceptual studies, FEED and Detailed engineering Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis is advantageous but not essential Demonstrated effective technical report writing and communication skills Keen interest in resolving technical ambiguity, trouble shooting and problem resolution Wood encourages Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to apply.
