The Chief Medical Officer will work with the COO and the Programs and Clinical Governance Manager, and the medical practitioner network, ensuring a coordinated effort to improve quality and performance.Specifically, the Chief Medical Officer will be responsible for the following:Doctor Workforce Education and TrainingAdvising on the process for recruitment, contracting, and onboarding of doctorsReviewing and advising on the development, maintenance and modifications as required of training content for our doctors.Provide recommendations on clinical training for telehealth to improve quality of virtual care.Clinical Quality and Medical GovernanceReview Doctors on Demand's clinical quality metrics to ensure we are delivering the highest quality service.Chair and support the Clinical Advisory Group in the implementation of Doctors on Demand's Clinical Governance Framework.Review and advise on all clinical processes including practice management system, radiology and pathology requests, results management and prescribing processes and trends.Design and oversee clinical audit processes and allocate resources to areas of highest risk for Doctors on Demand.As required, assist in the resolution of clinical incidents and complaints.Doctor Workforce Leadership and ManagementAssist in the development and execution of a formal performance management approach for doctors and in providing timely feedback to doctors to help drive clinical improvements.Provide engagement with doctors on both a group and individual basis, including through Quarterly Doctor Webinars.Represent Doctors on Demand as a telehealth clinical expert in the public domain.REQUIREMENTS / KEY SELECTION CRITERIA10+ years of experience in General PracticeProfessional qualification and registration with AHPRA and FRACGP/FACRRMDemonstrated experience in a senior medical leadership role with a focus on clinical governance, clinical risk assessment and quality improvement.Previous experience in the provision of telehealth clinical careExperience in strategic, leadership, or clinical governance role.Tech savvy with advanced computer processing skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel,PowerPoint, SharePointPersonal AttributesInterest in telehealth and digital platforms to be able to provide efficient and effective care remotely.Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse (and remote) medical workforce.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive working.relationships with a range of stakeholders.Experience in developing and implementing clinical policies and procedures.Demonstrated ability to think strategically and drive change.Interested to be part of the Medical Cannabis IndustryOther items required:Australian working rights for at least 3 yearsClean criminal record - National Police Check requirementBENEFITSPart-time role with flexible working hoursCool work stories - changing the lives of our patients.Opportunity to work with a leading Australian telehealth service.Opportunity to work with major Australian insurers and employer groups.Opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction of fast-growing health tech company.Seniority level
