Stress Analysis Engineer Location: Newcastle or Aberdeen

Description ROSEN UK is actively recruiting for an experienced Stress Analysis Engineer to join our vastly experienced and multi-disciplined Integrity Management team. The role will involve the assessment of a range of assets including pressure vessels, piping and associated components and pipelines. ROSEN apply stress analysis techniques to perform complex assessments of defects (typically based around the ASME VIII-2 stress analysis approach) and also to model the behaviour of assets when subject to complex loading, such as loads experienced by a pipeline affected by ground instability. The role will involve working with engineers and managers at all levels and from other disciplines within the business on commercial client projects, as well as internal R&D initiatives.

Requirements Essential Skills and Experience: Degree qualified (minimum 2:1) with a relevant engineering degree. Minimum of 5 year's stress analysis experience Knowledge of failure modes associated with metallic components and structures Demonstrative experience working in a technical consultancy environment Significant experience of FEA and CAD software, Abaqus preferred Experience of performing hand calculations to verify finite element analysis results Demonstrative ability to problem solve and troubleshoot to provide sustainable solutions to often complex technical challenges Desirable Skills & Experience: Excellent Presentation skills, including experience presenting to clients Knowledge of Oil & Gas Industry, with experience in pipelines / pressure vessels advantageous.
