Position Overview:

Diligent is looking for a highly professional and motivated individual to combine their technical knowledge with commercial skills to effectively uncover and develop solutions for prospects and customers. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships, as you will interface directly with leaders of large multi-national companies and other key GRC and ESG personas.

Key Responsibilities

Leads solution designs, presentations and demonstrations to prospects and customers. Owns the product and technical aspects of sales engagements to achieve successful outcomes.

Works closely with a variety of teams including Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Customer Success, Solution Architects, Competitive Intelligence, and other content contributors and resources.

Proactively scopes the solution required to address customer requirements, assesses customers' met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and Diligent.

Contextualizes the value of our solutions to our clients through value-driven presentations and demonstrations.

Coordinates closely with internal sales, sales support, and service resources to align solution design with customers' business requirements.

Secures input from all necessary solution stakeholders within Diligent and the prospect. Adapts solutions, as necessary, to ensure appropriate support.

Owns and completes product and information security responses for RFPs/RFIs

Secures from customer staff commitments needed to ensure a deal's "technical win."

Meets assigned targets for sales growth in assigned product lines, market areas, channel, or other teams supported.

Acts as a Diligent ambassador; attends events and tradeshows representing Diligent.

Provides coaching and professional development to team members and sales colleagues in order to enhance their product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills.

Required Experience/Skills

Experience in a sales engineer, pre-sales, consulting, implementation or other commercial or customer-focused role within Software/SaaS

Keen interest and experience working within the Audit, Governance, Risk or Compliance industry

Previous experience working with medium to large companies, State, Local, Federal, or Provincial Governments entities.

Experience in Technology & digital transformation is preferred.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, including to senior stakeholders.
