Social Emotional Wellbeing Worker - headspace/ Anglicare NT - Darwin This is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander designated position Why Anglicare/ Headspace?Anglicare NT is a respected provider of quality human services across urban, regional and remote areas. headspace provides early intervention mental health services to you people 12-25-year-old. headspace can help young people with mental health, physical health (including sexual health) alcohol and other drug services, and work and study support. What's in it for you? Salary of $80,000 - $84,999 Identified role for an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person Supportive and flexible work environment Up to $3,500 for relocation assistance 5 weeks annual leave Salary packaging up to $15,900 annually What's the role? Provide culturally safe support and mentoring to young Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people who are engaged with headspace. Work with young people and families in a strengths-based and choice-focused way Help to strengthen access to culturally informed, flexible support. You will be well supported by a team and work closely with all staff across headspace Darwin and headspace Palmerston Help young people understand the impact of mental and physical health, aiming to ensure young people feel good about seeking help. Is this the right role for you? This is a Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identified role Cert IV qualification or equivalent in health or community services field (or similar), currently undertaking study or be willing to complete further study. Experience working with young Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander young people and their families, providing social and emotional support. Experience with collaboratively working within a mental health setting including awareness of mental health and risk assessments is an advantage. Good communication skills (written and verbal) and familiarity with using a computer including Microsoft programs and demonstrated skills and organisation and time management NT PHN/RWA NT  may be able to offer relocation support and clinical educational financial assistance  to health professionals who are relocating to the NT or moving within the NT to a greater remoteness area classification for the purposes of employment and further clinical education. Want to find out more about this opportunity?
