The Role: As a Project Manager, you will be reporting to the Principal Project Manager and will be responsible for managing the initiation, planning, and successful completion of ICT projects in line with Queensland Health project management methodologies. Potentially managing several in-flight projects simultaneously, you will deliver successful projects within agreed timeframes, budget, and quality standards. There are a number of roles available with assignments ranging from ICT Network infrastructure uplifts, Telephony Carriage enhancements/migrations, and complex systems integration. These roles will often be required to deploy infrastructure and applications to existing and new build health care facilities, managing the effective transition of ICT services while ensuring patient care is not disrupted. A key part of the role will involve initiating, influencing, and maintaining productive professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, focusing on the management of expectations and effective communication. Additionally, you will lead a small multi-disciplinary team, ensuring utilization to the best of their potential and mentoring them to develop and build upon skills and improve overall delivery. Key Responsibilities: Promoting and ensuring the use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies, and tools to ensure quality project outcomes are delivered. Managing, monitoring, and reporting on project-related trends and performance against plans and schedules. Managing project resources, expenses, and capital costs against forecasts. Is this opportunity for you? To be successful in this role, you will have extensive experience in the delivery of medium-scale IM/ICT projects, preferably in the health care industry. You will possess a high level of expertise and knowledge of appropriate project management methodologies, preferably PRINCE2, and the ability to provide expert advice on the use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies, and tools. Demonstrated experience in the implementation, integration, and migration of ICT infrastructure and telecommunications services (e.g. WAN, LAN, Data Centre, Unified Communications etc.), in association with building construction, will be highly regarded. Proven experience in the configuration, testing, and deployment of applications and system integration in health care facilities is highly desirable. The successful candidate will possess a high level of negotiation and consultation skills as well as effective written and oral communication skills. This will enhance your proven stakeholder management skills to support effective business change, including the ability to initiate, influence, and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders. Additionally, you will have proven analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills as well as experience in leading, managing, and mentoring an effective multi-disciplinary team. Specific Working Conditions: This position may be required to travel and work in rural and remote areas. A class C driver's license is highly desirable.
