The Occupational Therapy Department at the Mackay Base Hospital are seeking applications for an Occupational Therapist to join their team on a temporary basis. Your opportunity Competently deliver services independently or within a multidisciplinary team to client groups within the district, as determined through the Health Service Plan and priorities. About the Team Our Occupational Therapy Service delivers care to patients, both children and adults, throughout our hospital departments as well as in outpatient, community and rural settings. Our Occupational Therapists play a critical role in helping people of all ages to overcome the effects of disability caused by illness, ageing or accident so that they can carry out everyday tasks or occupations and participate in the activities of everyday life. About our Hospital and Health Service Mackay Hospital and Health Service ( ) has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff. The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
