We are currently recruiting a Lead Instrument & Controls Engineer to join a Global EPC in Perth, Australia as part of its Operations APAC West business. This is an initial 12 month opportunity which is expected to be an ongoing requirement for a key energy client. The successful candidate will be reporting directly to the Instrument & Controls Discipline Lead and working across FEED / Execution to EPCM delivery, across some of world's most technically challenging brownfields Oil & Gas projects.Responsibilities:ActingasfocalpointforInstrument & Controls Engineeringactivitiesacrosstheprojectlifecycle(Concept, FEED, detailed design) to produce fit for purpose solutions. ProducingcosteffectiveInstrument & Controls Engineeringreports, documentsanddeliverables Supportingandmentoring Instrument & Controls EngineersandDesignersandprovidetechnical assistance as required Providingtechnicalinputtobusiness development,earlycustomer engagement,tendersand studies ActingasaTechnicalAuthority,ensuringtechnicalintegrity ofallworkperformedonprojects. Ensuringallassigned workiscarriedoutincompliancewithagreedbudget andschedule. Qualifications:- Ideally, you will be a qualified engineer with an Instrumentation / Electrical Engineering degree from a recognized institution, and have relevant experience in either a Principal or Lead Instrument & Controls Engineer level role, within the Australian Oil & Gas industry within an EPCM / Engineering design office addition you will have:Knowledge of SPI for the development of I&C engineering deliverables, control systems, shutdown PLC hardware and software design Extensive design and knowledge of applicable codes and standards (both international and Australian) Proven experience managing risk during the design process consistent with technical and commercial requirements Excellent analytical, literacy and numerical skills Excellent communication skills with proven experience in client facing roles Be prepared to undertake site visits either onshore / offshore What will set you apart will be your in-depth Instrument knowledge supported by relevant experience in design and operations.E: Full AU working rights requiredWith over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Chemicals, Construction & Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining andManufacturingsectors worldwide.
