Fleet Manager

Fleet Management (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics) Instant Waste Management is the largest West Australian privately owned waste management company operating from our head office in Bayswater. The company employees in excess of 200 staff across 10 sites, and operating in excess of 100 trucks and other heavy duty equipment. About the position We seek a suitably trade qualified individual with at least 5 years experience in the service and repair of waste trucks.  Whilst this is a hands on role, you will be required to supervise a team of mechanics and other trade staff. The successful applicant must be an Australian citizen or have Australian permanent residency status. Key Responsibilities of the Position Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance, test and fault finding, and repairs. Manage workshop staff and maintain high-quality standards. Ensure compliance with OH&S policies and foster a safe working environment. Skills, Qualifications & Experience Requirements Experience with the service and repair of waste tucks. Relevant Australian recognised Trade Certificate. Previous heavy duty diesel fitter/mechanic experience essential. Valid Australian Driver's License - "HR" Class. Previous experience in conducting breakdowns / fault finding. Strong ability to adapting to different , environments, and workloads. Demonstrates a high level of safety and work ethics. Efficient time management. Hydraulics experience highly desirable. Extensive knowledge in mechanical maintenance with excellent mechanical aptitude. Demonstrated leadership in managing a multi-trade mechanical repair workshop. Strong communication skills for effective team relations.
